In short, this bill allows each town legislatively adopt an alternative building code that requires zero energy provisions for residential & commercial buildings. This bill is up for public comment on Monday 2/27/23. Please review the bill through the links below. See page 8 of 13 for the details.

OSBI Response – See IBC CT Codes Section “107.6 Additional Requirements” …” In the event such architect or engineer is unable to fulfill his or her review responsibilities, an additional architect or engineer shall be retained and the local building official shall be informed, in writing, of such retainer.”

INFORMATION: 2023 BUILDING CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL PRE‐LICENSURE TRAINING PROGRAM

Dates: January 3, 2023—July 20, 2023 | Location: 450 Columbus Blvd, Hartford Hours: 7 a.m.—2:30 p.m. | Class Days: Tuesday, Thursday

The Pre‐Licensure Training Program with Exam was developed to assist qualified candidates prepare for the State of Connecticut building code enforcement licensure examinations.

SECTBO ICC benefit day; 2021 IRC transition from the 2015 IRC

This seminar will assist participants in implementing the transition from the 2015 IRC to the 2021 IRC. It will include relevant changes in the 2018 IRC. This interactive training will focus on the key changes presented in the participant material. Knowledge review questions will provide opportunity for participants to discuss and consider the changes.

During this training, participants will be listening to lecture and engaging in class discussion and exercises
